Computer projects are notoriously risky. Stories abound of money written off after projects stalled and were cancelled – and those are just the ones that made it into the press.
Of course, the first way to protect yourself is to only hire a company with no such failed projects in their track record. We can provide you with a full list of our past clients and encourage you to ask them about our performance before you hire us for a project. |
We use proven procedures and methods to mitigate against project risks. The most important aspects of them are
- frequent communication with the client,
- frequent delivery of results for checking by the client, and
- frequent testing to keep the quality standard high.

Typical Process for a New Client
There is never any charge for our time in a first meeting to discuss your needs.
After that first meeting we write you a Proposal and a brief Solution Overview. Only if you accept the proposal will our time spent in preparing the Solution Overview be charged.
Our standard charge out rate is $100 plus tax per hour. We invoice on the last day of every month and payments received by the 20th of the next month qualify for a 15% Prompt Payment discount.
Our Proposal will itemize an hourly estimate and Total Estimated Price. If you like, our Proposal can also include a Fixed Price option whereby we take on all the risk of the hourly estimate being too low, but this can only be offered based on a detailed written Functional Specification.
Once you accept our proposal, we make regular reports to you on progress and make regular deliveries to your User Acceptance Test person (or team) to try out the growing new system. This style of project is known as “Iterative Development” and has been shown to have a higher success rate than other styles.
And here is the best part
We provide a 12-month Warranty on all our work.
Not many other software development companies will offer you that. It means that if any error in our software is found within 12 months after we mutually agreed it is ready to go Live, we fix that error at no cost to you.
